Thanksgiving Plans? Here’s What’s Happening.

    Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season is rapidly approaching. If this means that you’ve got some time off next week to celebrate “Turkey Day,” there’s plenty happening around Houston for you and your loved ones to enjoy!

    THANKSGIVING DAY:

    If you’re interested in burning some calories before the feasting begins–
    TXU Energy will host its annual “Turkey Trot” Thanksgiving morning at The Galleria. Registration starts at 7am, admission is $15. If you’re in Pearland, there’s a “Turkey Trot” there too. Also $15 registration, 7:30am.

    If you’d rather hit the snooze button, but have family plans later in the day–
    Head over to the annual Downtown Thanksgiving Parade before you go! Admission is free. Parade begins at 9am.

    If you’re still unsure of cooking, maybe dinner plans are in the cards–
    Brenner’s of Houston is hosting a 3-course Thanksgiving feast from 4pm-9pm. Plates are $42/person.

    And if you’re the chef spending the morning prepping before your family feast, maybe an afternoon off is best for you!–
    Witness the lighting of more than a half-million lights with a special appearance from Santa, fireworks, and festive tunes from local bands in Uptown Park. 4pm.
